Volunteer Responsibilities

​

There are various jobs available for volunteers such as:

  • Sorting incoming glasses by type of frame

  • Unwrapping eyeglasses sent to LIS by eyeglass manufacturers

  • Sorting over-the-counter ‘reading’ glasses

  • Determining eyeglass prescriptions using a lensometer (requires training)

  • Filing eyeglasses for clinics (requires training)
